Snooker & English Billiards

The Australian Billiards & Snooker Council (ABSC) is the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for English Billiards, and Snooker, in Australia.

For many years, the ABSC have been Members of the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF), supported their World Championships, and been the chief contributor in their Oceania Region.

The ABSC is a Member of the World Snooker Federation (WSF), and has hosted World Open, and World Junior, Snooker Championships in Australia.

The WSF, and World Billiards Limited (WBL), are under the auspices of the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association (WPBSA), and the ABSC has also hosted the World Billiards Championship in Australia, as well as International Events for the Professional players.

The ABSC is a Founding Member of the Asia-Pacific Snooker and Billiards Federation (APSBF), and hosts a number of Events in the Asia-Pacific Region, especially Events for the World Women’s Snooker  (WWS) Circuit Events.

The ABSC is the driving force for the Sports of English Billiards and Snooker, in Australia, and, to this end, conducts, encourages, promotes, advances, controls and manages all levels of our Sports, both at the National and International levels.
